Nathan Shupp, of Bethel, was arrested around 4:45 p.m., Wednesday, Jully 17, by Bethel Police on an active warrant for sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor, said the Bethel Police Department.
The warrant was the result of an investigation into a complaint made by the 10-year-old who reported that Shupp had touched intimate parts of the body in the form of groping while babysitting the child, the Bethel Police said.
The alleged events took place at Shupp's Bethel home, police said.
He is currently being held on $50,000 bond.
